Offices were built for productivity. The future demands something else.
This idea from Raphael Gielgen was one of the exciting impulses of CON:Fusion. For the second time, we have created a space with CON:Fusion that deliberately functions differently from classic events. No rigid programme, no long lectures – just what really moves things forward: conversations. Perspectives. Exchange. And concrete solutions. CON:Fusion is exactly that: a learning lounge for the new world of work. A space where people who want to understand where work is heading come together – shaped by technological leaps, new forms of collaboration and, last but not least, AI, which is fundamentally changing knowledge work.
Because one thing is becoming increasingly clear: offices will continue to be needed. But only if they are more than just places of productivity. If they become places for encounters, ideas and collaboration. This was precisely what was discussed in depth afterwards: in smaller discussion groups, spontaneous discussions and new perspectives on how workplaces will need to be designed in the future. Special thanks go to our host for this extraordinary venue: Haus Lademann on the banks of the Spree Canal – Dr Shamim Rafat from zero360 for providing the rooms for our event. And, of course, to all the participants who shaped this day with their perspectives, questions and discussions.
The future of work is not created by technology alone. It is created where people come together to shape it together.
